Allan, I want to add my thanks to Mark's. Our entire Kick 'em Jenny team
felt we learned a great deal on Sunday.  Your coaching was very
targeted. I suggest that we figure out how to do this again and get more
Fleet 11 boats out. While I can not commit for the entire Fleet (a vote
would be required) perhaps we could pitch in an cover your travel
expenses.

Dear Allan,

 

I just wanted to say thank you on behalf of the fleet for coming out
this weekend.  I personally learned a lot from this weekend and I think
everyone got a lot out of it, and I think other people did, as well.
Hopefully we can keep the relationship between north sails and the
Etchells fleet in Chicago going.  Copied on this email is the listserv
for the fleet for when you get the pics and video posted.  Also, here's

-A1 and A2 were sailed yesterday in a light southerly.  Ward Detwiler
took two bullets on the water, but had not registered properly before
the first race and was not scored.  Surprisingly (to me at least) his
request for redress was not granted, so we have a wide open A-series
right now.

 

-Allan Terhune was in town, and had some good video of the racing for
discussion afterward.  On Sunday 1220, 980 and 497 were out for drills.
It was a good time, and a shame the schedule didn't work out a little
better for more boats.  Allan promises to provide more pictures and some
edited video from the races.  (It occurs to me that we live in a day
where our bad gybes can end up alongside party fouls and ill conceived
hook-ups on a Facebook page.  Glad I'm not in college anymore.)

 

-If you have a mast on the mast rack, please make sure to store it
without the spreaders.  We've got a couple of wide loads up there right
now.

 

-A3 and A4 are next weekend.
