From alumhousten at iit.edu Wed Mar 10 20:11:02 2010 From: alumhousten at iit.edu (alumhousten alumhousten) Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 02:11:02 +0000 (GMT) Subject: [etchells-fleet11-members] 2010 Class Dues Message-ID: This year we are going to finally enter the new millennium and fill out the membership form and make payments online. For those that are adamantly opposed to this, please let me know and we can do it the old fashioned way. There are two major advantages to doing this online. Less paper work for all of us and almost no chance of something getting lost along the way. There are two steps to this process: 1. Go to http://www.etchellsfleet11.org/2010membership.html and fill out the form. This form only collects the class required data. It does NOT ask for any payment information. The information you provide here is the same information that we have all provided on the paper forms in the past. 2. Once you have submitted the form, within 48 hours, you will receive a notice from Chase (the Bank where the Fleet 11 account is held) telling you that you have an invoice to pay. In that e-mail will be a link to "QuickPay". If you follow that link you will be able to see the invoice and then pay it online as well. You DON'T need to have a Chase bank account in order to use QuickPay, you can bank at virtually any US based bank and use QuickPay to pay your dues. The reason for making your payment via QuickPay is that at no time will I see any of your banking information. I simply put together the invoice asking for the payment. From there Chase sends you the e-mail and Chase collects your information in order for you to make the payment. Once that is done, I only get a message that says you made a payment and I will see that the Fleet 11 account has been credited with that amount. There may be a little bit of a learning curve with this. I ask you to be patient and stick with it. In the future it will be easier because you will have already set up your QuickPay service. If you have problems with the form on the Fleet 11 web site, let me know. If you have problems with QuickPay, you can utilize the "Help with this page" link or the "Contact Us" link that is on each page of the Chase web site. I am a bow man on the Etchells - that is me in the pic. I am currently part of a west coast boat campaign headed towards the 2011 worlds We scored 3rd in the SD NOOD last weekend and 2nd in the West Coast MidWinters in Feb. I want to get more time in the boat - my team is not sailing again until September. I am looking for a fast ride, and am particularly interested in racing the NOOD and may be one or two other weekends but I cannot make a commitment to come up more than that. If you are interested, please email me back, or call me at 513-233-2726 (h) or 513-225-8056 (c). Thanks very much!
