[etchells-fleet11] RC "Volunteers" Issue

Threatening is one option, but not the only one, and probably not the most
productive one.
-Modifying our schedule to that the RC found it more amenable is another. I
think one of the reasons offshore doesn't have an RC problem is that they
have little to nothing in terms of a regular series. Instead they have a
collection of larger events (NOOD, Verve, Mac, etc.) with associated
parties. It's easier to get interest.
-Working to get a fleet member installed as RC chair is one.
-Having the fleet provide volunteers (through NUST or whatever means the
fleet wants) is another.

Yes, the RC, and the entire Club is tremendously Mac centric. Changing that
would likely help, but I am not aware of anything that I can do that will
change that.

I agree that NUST sounds like a good possibility. But I don't know what has
been discussed; with whom; etc.

As for people not doing their duty, I hope that doesn't happen. Not liking
a rule, and trying to get it changed is fine. The cornerstone of democracy
even. Unilaterally deciding that a rule simply doesn't apply to you is
something else entirely.
