[etchells-fleet11] Special Regatta Days

There has been some confusion around the number of races each fleet will
sail for the Special Regatta days (Barb Cup, Memorial Day, Labor Day,
Sheldon Clark).  I had though this was settled last fall, but it came up
again last week.

I advised RC based on our previous discussions, the difficulties of a 2 race
regatta, and history that we would prefer 3-races; but apparently the
Sheilds and Luders took votes and came up with something different.  I was
surprised when the OD chair issued the following guidance to the RC this
morning.

*The Etchells Fleet would like to sail three races per day for all Special
Regattas.*

*The Shields Fleet would like to sail two races per day for all Special
Regattas.*

*The Luders 16 Fleet would like to sail two races per day for all Special
Regattas.*

I am a little concerned with the impact such a differentiation could have on
our fragile relations with the RC, and I know some of us are less inclined
for the 3-race days anyway.  As such, I throw out the question for a vote.
Would we prefer to join the other fleets in sailing two race days for the
Special Regattas.

I need responses ASAP (and in any event by noon Friday) as the first is
Saturday.  Sorry for the confusion.
